Hiya, I’m Tanya, a mum first and foremost, and the heart and mind behind Sew Over the Rainbow. Like many mums, I was driven by a need to create something for my children that was practical, comfortable, and most
importantly, something I couldn’t find anywhere else. My journey began with a simple challenge: I couldn’t find trousers that fit over my son’s cloth nappies.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands, literally drawing around him to create a custom template. That’s how it all started, one mum’s need to craft
the perfect fit turned into a full-fledged business.
As a brand, i'm all about celebrating the love and care that goes into every stitch. From trousers to rompers and colourful printed clothing, everything is handmade with attention to detail and crafted with the highest quality materials. My passion for creating started with my Granny, a skilled sewer who passed down her wisdom and taught me the art of crafting. The sewing machine was always set up on her dinning room table, and now, it’s a staple in my own home.
I take great pride in every product I create. From my vibrant rainbow accents to the glorious Our Wee Country collection which features bespoke designs that celebrate the beauty and charm of Northern Ireland. I pour love and effort into each item. My clothes are not just pieces of fabric; they’re heirlooms in the making, built to last and designed to be passed down to the next little one.
Located in Newtownards, County Down, I ship our products worldwide, ensuring that families everywhere can experience the quality and care I put in to my
creations. Every piece of clothing is created in my, what I liked to call – my ‘sewdio’.
